Warm Feet, Warm Hearts
Saving the world... one sock at a time
Even the smallest donations can make the biggest difference.
We're counting on you to help us make a difference in the world. The smallest charitable contributions are stretched a long way.
Socks are often overlooked as a bare necessity but they are important. Socks protect feet from infection in warmer climates and provide warmth in the cold.
Each year our donation will vary by geography to those individuals who have no access to any protective footwear.
According to the U.S. Bureau of the Census, Income, Poverty and Health Insurance Coverage in the United States: 2010
- Close to 50 million people live in poverty
- A family of 4 (2 Adults & 2 children) living at the poverty line have only $15.80 a day to live off of.
- The average cost of rent outside of the major U.S. cities is roughly $10 a day
- This leaves $5.80 to pay for groceries, clothing, utilities, and transportation (not to mention unexpected bills).
